Boss Up!

The end of the year is approaching a little faster then I prefer but since I can’t stop time I guess I might as well get with the program. With just a little over 1 month left in 2018 it’s time to kick things into overdrive. Sis, it’s time to BOSS UP!

Being a blogger and working a full- time job (which is more like a career considering I recently celebrated my 5 year workaversary), can be trying at times. Setting goals for both and working to crush them leaves me drained and beat down but at the end of the year, I always seem to get this burst of energy. An energy that leaves me ready to crank out some projects and end the year feeling accomplished.

Since the end of the year is so close we can taste it, let me share 5 of my top ways to boss up and end the year with a bang and start the year with a bigger bang. Here we go:
  1. Write out your top 3 goals that you want to complete for the end of the year. This is the time to check the goals list you set at the beginning of 2018 and see what goals you have completed and haven’t. Out of the ones that you haven’t completed, pick your top three that you can achieve within a month and start working it out it. Want to know mine:
·         Write 5 blog post – knocking one off the list! BOOM!
·         Post for another promotion
·         Make an extra $1500 aside from my full-time job – this comes from a saving goal I had that I am just about to hit.
  1. Clean out your space. Clean your room, your closet(s), your storage area, your car, all of that. Get rid of all those things that you didn’t use in 2018 or that don’t make you happy. You may ask why T? Well, if you want to boss up you have to be able to have a clear mind and a clear space to operate in. Get organized so when 2019 hits you are starting fresh.
  2. Set those 2019 goals. When setting goals I like to break them down between short-term and long-term goals. Maybe a vision board is your thing or maybe you keep a journal. Where ever you keep those goals, write them down and be specific.
  3. Pick up a new book to read. I am a firm believer that knowledge is power and I also believe 1 month is enough time to complete a book. I will be reading my forever First Lady, Michelle Obama’s book, Becoming.
  4. Take time to spend with the people you love and your tribe. For me being around people who love and encourage me, especially around the holiday time. These are going to be the people that keep you accountable during the year and that love on you.
Did these tips help you sis? Are you ready to end the year with a bang and BOSS UP? Do you have tips to share with me because I would love to hear them. Leave me a comment below! Also how BOMB is this Ava and Viv suit y’all?
