Weeks later I am still loving this dress and as promised I
am coming back to show y’all how I transitioned this dress from fall chic to
fall comfortable in the blink of the eye.
For me, fall is all about layering pieces. Sweaters, moto
jackets, and probably my favorite, jean jackets. The jean jacket is a piece
that every girl needs in her closet for those brisk fall mornings and cool fall
nights. They can be the perfect weight, come in many washes plus they can be
affordable which we all know it right up my alley. I personally own about 5 or
6, maybe 7 but who is counting.
When thinking about how I would transition this dress I had
to take into account that I live in the south and the weather doesn’t really
hit fall temperatures until…never. We normally skip over fall. For the
unpredictable weather of the south, I know that I can always count on (sings
Count on Me by Whitney Houston and CeCe Winans) one of my faithful jean jackets
to be the perfect piece to layer this dress. As for the shoes, y’all know I
love a good sneaker so why not trade the heels for a comfy pair of Converse.
Did you like the look? How did you think I would transition
it? Now if you don’t own a jean jacket you should. Some of my favorite places
to pick up jean jackets are thrift stores, Old Navy, and your everyday discount
stores like Ross Dress for Less or TJ Maxx.
