RECAP: The Fluffy Girl Tribe: "One Size Doesn't Fit All" Workshop

One of the things I love most about blogging has to be the amazing women and men that I met since I started this journey. I have met bloggers, photographers, designers, boutique owners, small business owners, you name it! Being able to interact with like-minded individuals definitely has helped me along the way. This past Saturday I had the chance to interact some of these like-minded women and men at The Fluffy Girls Tribe’s A Brand Identity Workshop: “One Size Doesn’t Fit All.” And let me tell you I had an amazing time!

The Fluffy Girl Tribe is blogger collective made up of three lovely ladies, Alicia, creator of APYoungBlog, Elle Dove , indie designer of Lorenza James by Elle Dove and Rachel Rae, creator of The Dean of Fashion and Beauty. They presented this workshop where creatives of all sorts could come and gain knowledge from some of the best in their respective industries. The panelist were: Crystal, creator of Society of Harlow, Shauntae, owner of Events by Center Stage, Ashley, creator of Simply Curvee, Ashontay, indie designer of Christian Omeshun, Satrina, creator of IAmTr33, Sharai , writer and literary coach and special guest speaker Marie Denee, creator of The Curvy Fashionista. The entire conversation was moderated by Catherine Ashly, creator of Plus Size Meplz.

There were so many gems dropped throughout the panel that I wish I could share with y’all but if I did this blog post would be a whole 10 page research page! So I am just going to share a three:
  1. You have to believe in yourself because others might not and that should not stop you from living your dream. We look for validation from those in our lives when in fact they won't always be on our side so do what you love and forget the naysayers.
  2. You have to research and plan out your winning strategy. It’s not going to just come to you one day. If you want to know more, you know work for it. If you are wanting to write a book, research where to start. If you want to start open a boutique, research, research, research! The tools needed are out there, you just have to be willing to find them.
  3. It’s ok to share your plug with people. Everybody can have a seat at the table. There is enough money, space, followers, readers, buyers, whatever you need to go around. We can all win.

Like I said, there were so many more gems that were dropped during this event but those are just the ones I wanted to share with you all. Besides the gems that were dropped, there were also vendors to get your shop on at. The vendors included: WrapGirlMagic, VirgoNicole, Standtress Sada, ThiqBoutique, Lashed&Loved, KlosetThreads, and LorenzaJamesbElleDove. Be sure to hit the links and shop them as well. Tell them I sent you.

Make sure you check out The Fluffy Girl Tribe as well. They are amazing and you won't regret it!
