I have a philosophy that no matter the outfit, no matter how
you feel, if you throw a blazer on it then you will feel like a million bucks.
There ain’t nothing like a good ol’blazer. I remember when I first discovered
my love for the blazer. I was in the 11th grade and my mom and I
were planning to go have some family photos taken. Now when my mom and I try to
get together to coordinate it can take us FOREVER! Well while we were looking
for something to wear I came across a winter white blazer that my mom bought
when earlier that year, which I stuck in the back of the closet, and pulled it
out and decided it would be perfect because I knew we could pull some outfits
together. My mom was in shock that I actually wanted to wear
it but we looked so good! Ever since that day I live by the throw a blazer on
it philosophy.
This outfit is the perfect example of one of those days when
a blazer makes everything better. I wanted to keep it so simple-classic and
when I think of simple-classic I think of all black everything. I decided to
pair a black bodycon skirt with a black tank. I put on my black tights and knee
high boots and then realized it was a little cold to be wearing a tank by
itself and went to my collection of blazers. I thought to my myself what’s even
more simple-classic than all black everything, all black everything with some red in there and paired my checkered
black and red blazer to cover up my arms. As I was getting ready the
temperature started to drop outside so to finish my look I throw a scarf and my
favorite black hat on and called it a day.
This is the perfect look for a coffee house date or a Sunday
brunch with your girlfriends. I have some may blazers (most which are thrifted)
simply so that I can I live my philosophy and be the blazing beauty that I am.
Do you throw a blazer on it?
